  1. John says:

I will travell to Italy to learn how to make a pizza for my band on the weekends.

  2. varanid says:

Because everyone working for minimum wage at a pizza place will never want a weekend off? Just say you’re hiring for night/weekend shifts and cut the dramatics.

    • MagnusAzrael says:

I think he is expressing his frustration with previous employs and that is why he chose these particular examples. Also, Hipsters suck and I found it amusing.

      • Smilisav says:

His frustration about previous employee… (and everything that goes with that).
He probably doesn’t hire for night/weekend shifts. Those shifts are additional must, together with regular hours.
I know those time-thieving slave owners.
        I work for one.
More than 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, with salary 30% lower than agreed at beginning, and without overtime paid.
        Don’t apply at all !!!

    • Tyger says:

Wanting an occassional weekend off is fine. What the employer doesn’t want is someone who consistently can’t work weekends. Juggling employee schedules and availabilities often gets very frustrating.

(I worked as a kitchen manager.)

  3. huxley says:

Guess I qualify. Just need afternoons off, because me and my bro are doing some promos for the new recording studio and record label we just started.

  4. The Master says:

Since when are musicians and artists hipsters?

Artists have to do galleries to make money.
Musicians have to do concerts to make money.
Especially on the weekend, people dont go out to concerts on work nights, weekends are the only viable time to actually do these kinds of things. Maybe if the pizzaria would get over themselves and realise there just a stepping stone for people who just need alittle cash to get them by untill they get a real job.

    • Joe says:

What do you mean, “Real Job”?!? I’ll have you know… ok, couldn’t keep that up for long with a straight face. Really, though, well-said!

    • Min says:

If I owned that place, I’d be happy to be used as a stepping stone so long as my employees worked when they were needed. It’s not the boss’s problem if someone’s vocation &/or avocation conflicts with the schedule. Want a job? Come to work.

    • whatever says:

Seems to me that’s exactly the attitude they’re trying to avoid. There’s a job to suit everyone, and someone who enjoys their pizzeria job and will be good at it is who they’re looking for.

    • Mr.X says:

Maybe they’re trying to be better than other pizzerias and this is their solution – hire people who actually care about pizza and their jobs. What’s wrong with that? Pizzeria is a legitimate business, not a charity for unemployed wannabe-artists.

    • technofortomcats says:

Heaven forbid a pizza place be a business and look after the BUSINESS interests first instead of hiring people who can’t turn up for work. Sorry, lack of sympathy for Hipsters here.

  5. Rob of the Funk says:

Food experience a must? Splendid! I have experienced food before.

  6. Mock Rusic says:

Wanted: Absolute loser w/o dreams or ambition and food experience . Must be a pizza delivery boy first and nothing else second. Delivering pizza should, ideally be the highlight of your life. No time given off for side projects, personal life or higher education. Person who lives with their parents permanently, government housing or in a halfway house preferred. There’s no way I’m paying you enough to afford your own place.

    Thanks, Vinnie’s Pizzeria
